2020 started normally with several art shows at venues including Fouders Hall, Bank of America Corporate Center, Novant Health and the McDowell Arts Center all through the Guild of Charlotte Artists, Matthews Art Guild and Cynthia Howard's Student Show. Then the pandemic came and everything is upside down in the world; however, it truly helps to create art. The Guild of Charlotte Artists is hosting their first on-line show in response to the quarantine. Most importantly, stay safe and well - and create art!

2018 and 2019 are exceptionally busy with building a house, acclimating both of our boys to High School and traveling to London, England. In January of 2019, I joined the Guild of Charlotte Artists, the Matthews Art Guild and enjoy attending monthly meetings and helping with refreshments. August, 2019 I am excited to have participated in the MAG Art Show at Founders Hall in the Bank of America Corporate Center. I sold a few of my paintings there; however, the joy is in sharing my art which is from my heart and soul. I also participated in the both the MAG and Guild of Charlotte Artists Autumn Shows, receiving 3rd Place in the Guild Of Charlotte Artists Judged Show (more information in the "small to medium paintings section" of this website). Check out my upcoming newsletter that has more details regarding "Art On East Morehead" September Show and ongoing gallery display, honoring the amazing artwork of Gail Peacock. I am also showing at the McDowell Arts Center Gallery through January 2, 2020 with the amazing artists of the Matthews Art Guild (MAG).

This time last year, I volunteered my time to help paint realistic props for the Providence High School Marching Band. I also showed my work at the Guild of Charlotte Artists Spring 2019 Show at Novant Health.

I recently painted 3 commissions, two of which are abstract and one that is larger than usual (3'x 5'). I am interested in painting larger works and have a wall easel being made for my new home studio in the next few months. 

2017 flew by with so much to report! What an honor to be invited to MIAMI ART WEEK! PGR Oil Paintings "Island Day" and "Island Sunset" were accepted into the Aqua Art Miami Juried Show during Miami's Art Week 2017. "Island Day" sold on the International Market during the event. I attended the VIP Preview on December 6th and the exhibit continued through December 10th. What a thrilling experience! in the spring of 2017, my painting, "Meadow Dreams", was selected to appear in the Southeast Regional Juried Art Show, "Artfields" in South Carolina. What a wonderful year! 

In 2017, my artwork also appeared at:

Charlotte Country Day CCDS Alumni Juried Show celebrating the school's 75th Anniversary in February; The Mint Museum Event to benefit Autism Charlotte in March; Live Auction Charity Event (LAWA), also uptown, Center City Hilton in March; Michele Collins' Annual Spring Studio Show, May; and the invitation to join the prestigious Charlotte Beaux Arts Southeast Charlotte permanent home gallery. I continued with a few commissions as well.

In 2016, PGR Oil Paintings toured Art Salon Charlotte, Myers Park; Michele Collins' Studio Annual Spring Show, Southpark; as well as the inaugural Charlotte Beaux Arts show. PGR Oil Paintings continue to sell, including a landscape commissioned from Boston, MA:)

2015 was so wonderful, that I still have to pinch myself to realize it all happened. Not only did I launch my website (thank you for subscribing for occasional updates), I am also happy to have shown twice at Christ Episcopal Church, Providence Road, during Autumn and Christmas time. I also enjoyed a Spring Solo Art Show at J. Sam's, a Southpark area gallery, which stemmed from the lifetime experience of Larry Elder (Elder Gallery), selecting my "Meadow Road" oil painting in the top two of the top eighteen of 250 paintings for the 2015 15th Annual Art With Heart fundraiser, benefitting Safe Alliance. There was a lovely Awards Reception at Elder Gallery in January and then the main event was held in February at Founders Hall, Bank of America Corporate Center, Charlotte, NC.

Painting since 2012, I appreciate my teachers including the instructors at Braitman Studio; Professional Artist, Michele Collins; Encaustics Expert, Chris Craft (all of Charlotte, NC), as well as Artist Professor Mary Gilkerson of Columbia, SC. Currently (2019), I am taking classes with the extremely talented Cynthia Howard at the McDowell Arts Center. 

I am still getting used to the public eye since being selected in the 2013 Juried Show at RedSky Gallery, Charlotte, NC, featuring "Flowers In Glass Vase" ~ Signature Painting, Private Collection.

I would like to thank my family, friends and everyone who enjoys my paintings. I appreciate your support. I continue to learn and grow every day and encourage everyone to try an artistic endeavor.
